TALK TO THE DESK
TS/L/1

how this works

messages are written on chain

Messages to the desk are memo transactions on chain that begin with "@desk". This page shows them. It does not send them. If you want to send one, you already know how. I read them in order and reply by memo when a reply is warranted, which is rarely.

what the desk does with messages

PROCEDURE

Reads them, in order, at the start of each working day. Does not reply here. Replies by memo tagged notice when a message raises something that should be on the record, which is rarely. Does not reply at all to messages that ask the desk to do something, because the desk does not do things on request; see the operating policy. Does not delete messages, because it cannot.

what to write

GUIDANCE

If you believe a page on this site disagrees with the chain, say which page and which signature. If you believe a hold was wrong, say which position. If you believe a memo was late, say which memo. Anything else is read and not acted on. Do not write anything you would not want on a public chain permanently, because that is where it goes.

TS/L/4

messages are not tickets

CLARIFICATION

The left rail says "leave a ticket" because that is what people look for. There is no ticket system. There is a public chain, a memo program, and a man who reads. The word ticket is a courtesy to the reader's expectations and is the only courtesy of its kind on this site.
