WHAT IS PERMITTED AND WHAT IS NOT
TS/P/1

Who may use the system

Anyone who can sign a transaction may call the counterparty instruments. There is no application, no list, and no approval step.

The administrative instruments accept the operator key alone.1 That is enforced by the program, so there is nothing to apply for there either.

TS/P/2

What you may not do

Do not attempt to call instruments with accounts they were not designed for. The account lists on the instruments page are the complete set for each call.

Do not submit names that impersonate the bank, this desk, or another counterparty. A name is a label you set for yourself, not a claim about who you are.

Do not use the helpdesk for anything other than messages to the desk. It writes to a public chain permanently and it is read by a person.

TS/P/3

What happens if you do

Malformed calls are rejected by the program. There is no queue of bad calls waiting for review; the transaction simply does not take effect and the fee is spent.

Names that impersonate the bank or this desk are listed on the incidents page with the key that set them. The name itself stays on chain, because this desk cannot remove it.

There is no ban list, because there is no mechanism for one. The program does not know who is asking, and this desk has not built a way to make it care.

TS/P/4

Your own responsibility

You hold your own keys. This desk cannot recover them and will not pretend otherwise.

Read the rate sheet before you open a position.2 The ratio and the fee in force at the moment of the call are the ones that apply to you.

Understand that settled means settled. A settlement that reached finality is a record, and this desk has no instrument that undoes one.3

  1. 1. The operator key is the single key this desk signs with, and what it may do is fixed by the program, not by the desk.
  2. 2. The rate sheet is the set of rate parameters held in the config account and printed, unaltered, on the rate sheet page.
  3. 3. Finality is the point at which the cluster will not reorganise a transaction away, and this desk reports nothing before it.
